All new Renault Austral E-Tech full hybrid recognised by industry with class-leading residual values

The all new Renault Austral E-Tech full hybrid is now even more attractive to private and business customers after cap hpi confirmed best-in-class residual values for the electrified SUV.

In a highly competitive and rapidly growing segment, the innovative SUV hybrid takes the residual value crown, retaining 50.1% of its original retail value after 3 years/60,000 miles.

The class-leading residual values add another string to the bow of the cutting edge petrol hybrid, building on attributes such as its premium, Google-powered digital experience, advanced powertrain and extensive standard equipment that includes up to 30 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Boasting the very latest technology in terms of connectivity, convenience and safety, the standard specification betters that of its rivals. In fact, so comprehensive is the equipment list that there is no need to offer any options.

Whether they are a retail customer or making a business purchase, car buyers are set to reap the benefits, thanks to Renault’s latest electrified offering taking its place among the most cost efficient cars available when its pricing and specification are also considered. Switching from a conventionally-powered ICE vehicle to the electrified all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid will prove more affordable than many may imagine, with the impressive residual values contributing to lower monthly payments and reducing the Total Cost of Ownership. Ultimately, the residual values are a reflection that customers receive the best value for their money during the current economic situation.

In its April 2023 report, cap hpi said: “The new Renault Austral is a huge leap in terms of design and technology compared to the aging Kadjar predecessor. The exterior design has a muscular design due to high bonnet positioning and a wide stance. The interior design is in line with all the latest technologies and overall has a premium look due to excellent materials with good fit and finish throughout. Interior room is up there with the best in class as is the ride and handling.”

This result is the culmination of Renault working closely with cap hpi to ensure that the all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid entered the UK market with a highly appealing standard specification. Not only did this ensure optimum value for customers, but it was a key part of a strategy to help the brand fulfil its ambitions to conquer the C-segment as outlined in its bold ‘Renaulution’ plan.

The impressive residual values also complement the attractive benefit-in-kind rate that the all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid qualifies for. Class-leading CO2 emissions as low as 105g/km contribute to a 26% BIK rating, while the ability to achieve a rival-beating 60.1mpg further minimises running costs. Such efficiency isn’t to the detriment of usability or performance; the all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid boasts a class-leading range of up to 683 miles while its 200hp drivetrain ensures impressive acceleration.

Peter Horton, Head of Fleet, Renault UK, said: “With its unrivalled residual values having a very positive effect on leasing rates, the all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid is even more appealing to fleet buyers. Already offering the safety, usability and supreme connectivity that are so important to business drivers, the confirmed RVs now complete its package. Taking these into account, it means that many companies can transition to a highly-equipped, cutting-edge electrified vehicle in an exceptionally cost-effective way.”

The boldly-styled SUV is available in a choice of three versions – techno, techno esprit Alpine, and iconic esprit Alpine. Features common to all include a frameless automatic rear-view mirror, sliding centre console armrest, sliding rear bench seat, and automatic dual-zone air conditioning with air purifier.

The cutting-edge digital experience – which includes the availability of up to 35 apps* and even the ability to operate home devices via voice control – is delivered via the 12-inch OpenR multimedia screen, 12.3-inch driver information display, 9.3-inch head-up display, and a range of Google services built-in. These include Google Maps, Google Assistant, and access to the Google Play store. Additionally, two front and two rear USB ports ensure connectivity with the 8-speaker Arkamys audio system.

The all new Austral E-Tech full hybrid is available to order now priced from £34,695 OTR.
